From 12-14/03/2024 IQUA robotics participated in the Oceanology International trade fair in London (UK). It is the leading forum to connect with the world’s marine science and ocean technology communities in Europe. This is an important meeting point to showcast innovative technologies and approaches to scientific problems. We took this opportunity to present #PLOMEproject and distributed several leaflets to the interested targeted audience of the industry.
In the booth, the team presented all its technologies showing a real sized SPARUS II AUV and did live demos on SoundTiles software to its potential end users. This latter technology is being used in #PLOMEproject for the creation of explanatory mosaics out of forward looking sonar images gathered with the University of Girona AUVs for them to be interpreted by the ICM scientific team.
IQUA team will also participate in the EMRA workshop in May 2024 in Arenzano (Italy) and in Martech workshop in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) in June 2024, both events very relevant to the scientific community of underwater robotics and applications in Europe.
